Installing GrassTex

Anybody have advice on installing GrassTex in a sim? I am covering my basement HT/Sim flooring with 1" EVA tiles, and then placing the putting turf over that. Does it need to be glued or tacked down? Does it just lay on top? How do I seam it where two pieces join together - like regular carpet?

I have a very similar setup but I used Rymar Pro-Putt turf so I'm not sure how it compares to Grass Tex. Anyways, I did not glue it down at all, just rolled it out over the EVA tiles and it works fine - no issues. My turf is 13'x15' so it is quite heavy. It takes a lot to move of shift.

I didn't need to seam two pieces together but I would imagine carpet tape would work for that.

Hey shanker128 - I have Grass-Tex Club Champion (10'x16'). I rolled it out over 1/2" thick gym puzzle mats: https://tinyurl.com/foam-mat-underturf

I then used double-sided carpet tape with a pink/red color and a kind of 'gel' sticky feel to it (Home Depot), to stick it down on edges - but it's so heavy not even sure you would need that. I also did the same in areas around my hitting strip. And I used the same carpet-tape. When I had to edge it next to a different turf, I used this Turf Seaming Tape to seam it together: https://tinyurl.com/grass-seaming-tape

That should do a fine job for you, both of those tapes.... The Seaming tape also comes with it's own Knife for cutting.
