  • Would this be workable for a stance mat?

Hi everyone, I am looking to put together a stance mat with a hitting strip. I already have the hitting strip and have using it for several months alongside my old hitting mat (which was tearing up my wrists and elbows and hence the hitting strip).

I have 1" exercise puzzle piece flooring and need some turf to lay on top. I found this outdoor "rug" that is interesting for me because the size is a good match right off the bat. The thickness also looks promising as well. Anyone have any experience with this one my chance?

Looks like a decent product, overall reviews are good. You'll likely need to use a spray adhesive or lots of carpet tape to join it to your flooring, if you don't, as you swing and pivot and shift, it is going to slide around and get bunched up and out of sorts, you'll constantly be tugging at it and messing with it to be smooth. If you are adding the turf for aesthetics that's understandable, but unless you stick it to the flooring it's going to be a pain.

Thanks for the response. I was definitely presuming I'd use carpet tape to anchor the turf. Do you think the backing on this "rug" would make that harder to anchor vs "raw" turf?

No, it's probably about the same, comes down to surface area contact and the backing on that one seems ok,
