  • Tee Line w/ Low Density Foam

I'm in the process of redoing my mat setup. Currently, I have a DIY mat consisting of a 3/4" stall mat, 1/2" exercise mat, and SynLawn Precision Putt turf. For the hitting area, I have a Fiberbilt strip (link to my original post). While the mat has held up well, I hate the feel of the Fiberbilt and a groove is starting to form. I went the Fiberbilt route initially because I had some elbow pain from a cheap mat, but am looking to go another direction. I have toyed with the idea of creating my own Divot Action like many others have done. Another option which is sort of a hybrid of tee line and divot action, is using tee line turf with some sort of low density foam under the hitting area and a stall mat under the stance area. I like the idea of a uniform look and not having to replace the hitting turf, but am worried about the potential elbow pain. Has anyone tried this?
