New Soft Bullseye Hitting Strip

I had a chance to play with the new soft Bullseye hitting strip. It is slightly less thick than there original and is softer for sure. It also has a darker colour than the original. You can get it in different lengths and thickness.

So I have been hitting it for several days now and I love it. It's soft but will grab the club if your too fat. So it does penalize bad shots. When you hit it well, man it feels good and feels like a divot.

The mat has a nice turf on top of a rubber base. It does leave a slight film on your club but it's barely noticeable and rubs off easy. I suspect this mat will last a long time given the feel but time will tell. I love having multiple mats for fairway, rough and sand but this will be my go to mat for fairway shots.

It feels very similar to the original but slightly softer. I think it will hold up over time as it is really well built.

One of the great things about the original was no mat residue on the club - despite the color, I would still value this over a softer surface. I wonder why they made it thinner.

The mat film is very, very minor and in fact seems less the more I use it. Original mat is very nice as well but this one is really growing on me.

I'm pretty sure I'm going to pull the trigger on this tonight to replace my Fiberbuilt strip...along with ordering the Uneekor Eye Mini since they've included a full year of the champion software package. My hope is Uneekor figures out a better software plan and package pricing between now and then, or just makes 3rd party play free.... or cheaper.

Didn't mean to hijack a mat thread with a launch monitor conversation, but I remember Bubba22 mentioning recently ordering the EyeMini as well, and it looks like I'm joining the club.

I have a Fiberbuilt and it's a good mat but really forgiving. I still use it on occasion. This mat forgives good shots but fat shots or what I call "trapped shots" get penalized like real golf.

I just received my eye mini and will be giving a review and my opinion in a bit. See ....

Bubba22 Thanks for the feedback on Fiberbuilt compared to the Bullseye. What you're describing is exactly what I'm looking to improve, so looks like the Bullseye is it. Do you feel that it also gives better spin numbers when hitting down on the ball with wedges? I feel the fiberbuilt is too forgiving in that category to mimic ball vs. turf action. I've also been using a skytrak for years so I don't always put much faith in wedge spin data anyways. Especially when paired ith such a forgiving mat.

Exactly. Spin numbers are great with wedges if you hit down. The mat is great for all clubs.

Just got mine in yesterday. Must say I like the feel better than the original Bullseye hitting strip. It’s a little softer. Also like the new colour

Do putts roll well on the bullseye strip? I currently have a holy grail strip that is beginning to wear down. One thing i like about the holy grail strip is putts roll farily well on that surface (at least from the edges where its not worn).

I have found that the original Bullseye strip does not show wear after more than a year. The new Soft strike hitting strip is new....so time will tell if it is as durable as our original. Rick has been testing it for months... Putting seems to work well on both.

I had the original Bullseye hitting strip and had no problems. I can’t see any problems with their new hitting strip for putting. Looks good so far

Putts on the new Bullseye are great. I have a very nice putting green in front of my impact screen and the roll from this strip is smooth onto my putting green.

Thanks for bringing this brand to my attention. I currently hit off of a Rawhide mat and fat shots are starting to reek havoc on my shoulder and elbow. So I'm looking for a hitting strip to install. I'm torn between this Bullseye Soft Strike and the EZ Tee Hybrid. I'm assuming either one will be an upgrade to the Rawhide. What do you think?
