  • Very sore lower back

Just embarking on my Sim experience and have a temporary set up in an outhouse prior to moving ointo something more permant. Background 60yo 20 handicapper Using short irons (due to lack of clearance) Based in UK and purchased a couple of locally sourced high end strips. These sit on a concrete floor. Used first time for over 50 or so hits and could'nt walk next day. Any advice appreciated with my main criteria therefore is to avoid back pain as this may be a short foray into Sim golf. Thanks

What are these hitting strips? Are they in the mat? Why not post a picture of your setup so folks can see it and give advice.

For lower back pain, be sure and warm up and stretch out your hips prior to hitting balls. Most of the time lower back issues are caused from tight hips. (I speak from experience)

Upper back issues may be caused by trying to go through a dozen swing thought prior to pulling the trigger on your swing. The extra time you spend over the ball creates tension between your shoulder blades. Might try the Tiger Woods timing tip of no more then 5 seconds between the time you position your first foot (either one) to finishing you swing.

          Should have added......

Might want to add a little more padding under your stance and impact matt. The amount of force going into your back from an even slightly fat hit it amazing.
