  • Large putting Green around TrueStrike impact mat for basement

I am building a simulator in my basement. Room size is 12' 8" W x 14' Deep. I have a TrueStrike TS302-MK7 Single impact mat in the middle. I wanted to surround the impact mat with a putting green. That way I can still work on my putting(non virtual) in the winter. Anyone have any sugesstions

You will really need to build up the putting area as the Truestrike sits rather high. I just have the Matt sit above my putting green surface.

I used 2x2' underlay, net tiles that tongue and groove together under my putting green material to build up the hight.

I intend to so a very similar concept, with a 5x5 ultra thick hitting matt from AllTurf, then surrounded by a putting green also. Will also have to build up a underlay on top of a somewhat uneven cement floor. What can I use to keep the 5x5 solidly in place while hitting off of it?..........thinking glue down a lot of Velcro to the cement so I could lift the matt and rotate etc when wanted.

Not sure what you mean by somewhat uneven floor. But if you want level you can go Menards, or Home depot and buy a bag of floor leveler. just mix it up pour it out and it self levels. then just use lots of carpet tape to hold the mat in place. I cut my mat into the putting green. and although it is not level with the mat. The hitting mat stays put.

Thanks for all the followup Hdaddy. Quick question that maybe you can also answer. I went with a Foresight GC2/ ProTee TGC software. What ceiling lighting do you recommend?
