  • hitting strip sideways for offset

I'm building a raised deck of 2" of foam board and tiles with grizzly grass around a Sigpro softy.

My hitting area will need about a foot of offset to accommodate left and right handed hitting in a space that is too narrow. 13ft. If I turn the strip 90 degrees in the deck, reach hitter can use the far end to give that extra foot. My son's and my ball striking is good enough that we're ok with a foot of hitting depth. The entire deck would be 10x 4, though with the offset, I could make it 8x 4 and save materials. This will have to stack against the garage wall when not in use.

Anyone use a hitting strip sideways?
