  • Simulator flooring and putting green

Working out the details for my office to simulator conversion. I plan to pull up the carpet and put down decent putting green material wall to wall. Can I keep the existing carpet padding? I think this will help with sound and give me more room to sink my CCE mat flush to the putting/stance surface.

Any other tips to keep things level?

I was wondering the same thing. I can't see why a carpet padding would be an issue? has anyone done this?

Actually, I am about done and the turf is ordered. I am not going with padding, but an active backed turf called synlawn precision putt.
Precision Putt® is SYNLawn Golf's flagship putting surface. Tour player-tested and approved for realistic look & feel with true ball roll performance.

I must have had 20 plus samples before I made a decision. This putts the best and will lay down the best imo. I found it locally and saved on shipping which can be several hundred dollars. They also have me the contractor pricing which helped. I well put it straight onto the sub floor hopefully in the next couple weeks. I didn't skimp out on the turf.

That stuff looks nice. If you don't mind me asking, how much was it per square foot?
