Ideal distance from mat to screen

I have a SIM that is almost complete and I am trying to get an idea of the ideal distance I should place the hitting mat to the impact screen.

My room is quite large and the impact screen is exactly 16' wide x 9' high (perfect for my 16:9 projector).

Does anyone have a recommendation on the ideal distance away the mat should be?

    Thanks!

Somewhere around 10' I would suppose.

Depends on your ceiling protection (flop shots) and shank protection (side curtains/netting) how far back you can actually safely play.

Between that and keeping your shadow off the screen, it's really up to you.

It also depends on your projector. I am 12 feet away from a 13x9 screen. If I were 10 feet, I would see the shadow of my head in the bottom corner. My projector is more suited for Home theatre than for golf. My 60 degree hits the ceiling before the screen. I only use that club when I have to. That is an awesome screen size.

I'm at 10 foot. Hitting into a 16x10 screen area. I have no problems from there. What projector are thinking about going with?

I have 10ft from the screen and occasionally hit the padded (foam workout mats) roof with the Par2Pro 9.5x10 screen.
