Golf Balls and Tees

I found something at the show yesterday that may benefit some of you here that use a monster turf or a thick synthetic hitting mat with your skytrak. It is a tee holder that screws into your mat and holds the tee from flying all over the place. It also allows you to adjust the height of your tee also. I ordered a couple on line and took one of the samples to try this weekend at home.

They are working great and cost $10. Look up,Birtee Golf on the web and you should find them. They say they are now available in all Golftown stores so I hope that people can find them easily. Fyi, I did check Golftowns online store and did not see them there.

Also, the smallest tee is the one that I am afraid I will lose first as it really can fly just about anywhere. I use it on par 3s and works great. I cannot provide feedback on durability as I have only just started to use them.

Keep in mind what sim you will use the tee's on as a GC2 for instance may see the white of the tee and cause some wild reads. Even a white wood tee has caused issues for me. Once a ball is in place I have also seen the white sales sticker on the lower part of the shaft create a read when the guy was just making a practice swing by the ball. They are now removed...

Yes, white is what creates the issue with a GC2 so other colors would be good. Darker the better.

After playing a little on the weekend, it appears that the tee does interfere with the radar a little and thus produces some shots that don't register. This happened whenever the tee hit the screen in roughly the same location as the ball. Probably happened a few times and is not enough for me to change yet, but I will continue to look for new solutions like the tee claw.
