Country club elite

Is the country club elite mat like hitting out of the rough? I hit balls at a dome and was on a mat that was real soft. My launch was real inconsistent. I lifted it up and looked for a name on it but couldn't find one. If that was an elite, i want something a bit more firm. Does the elite have any name markings on it?

I would think it's much firmer but unsure myself. I use a platform that has the monster turf around the insert, and the monster turf is very squishy which I'm not a fan of.

I use the par2pro tee up hitting mat as an insert and that is very firm, accepts a tee and just feels really good.

If I did it over I'd use the commercial monster mat which is firmer and the tee up hitting mat to create a more level hitting surface. I'm sure the CCE hitting mat is nice as well. Just providing another option.

I've just ordered the Country Club Elite Portable Twin Combo System (http://www.amazon.com/Country-Elite%.../dp/B004ORAWM6). Anybody tried this before? And any thoughts (i.e., too hard, too soft, does it provides adequate digging to simulate taking divots, does it hold a tee well, does it move around, durability, etc.)? Thanks.

I have the CCE. It's nothing like hitting out of the rough. I really like it. It's firm.

The mats will definitely move around unless you are on a really rough surface. I have a 5x5 CCE and even it moves around on a concrete floor without some minimal constraints on the corners. It is in my garage so I epoxied some small strips of aluminum square tubing at the corners. The mat itself is excellent. If you hit it at all fat the thick weave on the mat really slows down the clubhead and therefore the ball speed

Thanks for the insights guys. I will be using it in yard hence got the portable twin combo so easier to take out and put away. Hope grass is slightly rougher than concrete so both hitting mat and stance mat won't move around as much while hitting...

ate you finding it for less $? I just looked it up $335 5×5 and $449 cce 5×5. Not quite half price but still a benefit. What are the other benefits? Thanks
