My CCE mat is sitting about 3/4" higher than the surrounding carpet/padding. Any recommendations on a cheap subflooring approach that I can put underneath my carpet to equalize the height? I found DRIcore at Home Depot, but that route would cost me about $350 for my sim room. Looking for a cheaper option and moisture is no issue.

I suggest you find a way to get Dricore. I've had mine in for a long time and am really happy. You can shim each piece to make it perfect and it levels just right. I used the one with blue foam on the bottom. In front on my CCE is a putting green. It's the exact same hight.My Courses:
