I like the idea of using dricore for its added benefits, but it is a little too thick. I got the divotaction insert but it is 1.25 in thick. Using dricore and adding turf on top will be slightly higher than the insert. Is there something like dricore but that is only 3/4 in thick instead?

If you are just trying to build the floor up, you can go with some good foam tiles like these http://www.norsk-stor.com/foam-mats-sport.html. You could then roll out your turf over the top of them, with an area of the foam cut out to recess the divot action insert (or your hitting mat / divot action combo). These tiles are obviously not going to allow water to migrate beneath them. The good thing with these is that they would be quick and lightweight to work with, and be removable. Just depends on what you are trying to accomplish.
