Forgive the newbie question but do people use an av receiver for sound or just connect speakers direct to PC?
does that change if you want to use set up for home theatre?

I have some decent Bose computer speakers mounted behind my screen and hooked up to the audio output of my Benq. I have a separate projector for movies, but if I did not, I would likely run my Benq hdmi signal thru my home theater amp/hdmi switcher

I use a A/V receiver that I use for the sound. Computer and DVD player go into it and both go to my projector. I just switch the inputs from HDMI1 to hdmi2 on the remote to go between. I use HDMI3 for ROKU movies

I have AV for full surround sound as I use mine as a home theater as well. Use playstation for movies/games and ATT uverse connected. Great for football games on 117" projected image.
