Selecting resolution for unusual size screen

Hi guys,
im experimenting around with all of my settings for a while and I wonder if I'm missing something. My screen is not a perfect 4:3 aspect ratio and I'm trying to fill as much of it as possible.
I have an Optoma GT1080darbee projector and a screen measuring 132" W by 105" H.
I want to run as high of a resolution as possible but I'm struggling to get something to work well. I've tried making custom resolutions but then I seem to run into problems with TGC. I always have to select one of their choices and it doesn't fill the screen well
Any thoughts gentlemen?

I use a custom resolution to fill my entire screen and although I haven't tried TGC on the simulator, JNPG will list my custom resolution in game as one I can select. If I don't select my custom resolution then I'll get cropping/stretching. It sounds like like you don't get your custom resolution listed in the launch options dialog? I'll have a look later today - maybe TGC is just listing common resolutions rather than the resolutions defined for the selected display.

I'm starting to wonder whether switching to a 1080p projector was worth it. I see no improvement of image quality on this screen. Maybe it's just because of the dimensions?

I checked TGC and my custom resolution which I created shows up in TGC's launch options, making TGC completely fill my screen (which is roughly 3:2).

Really??? Mine doesn't come up with any custom resolution options. Did you do anything to set that up?
