Help with projector suggestion for 16' x 9' tall screen

I'm in the process of buying things for my golf sim. I think I am going to buy the gc2/hmt sim package. I have 10' ceiling and 16' wide wall. So I suppose the screen will actually be 15' wide by 9' tall. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

I'm probably also going to buy the sq beta screen from par2pro.

I would like a decent projector and would imagine its going to be about 10-11 feet away.

I have a optoma gt1080 in a theater room that I put together, but I feel it's not the greatest but ok and the screen is about 11' wide, so I'd imagine I need a higher quality projector than that. But I also have a crappy screen so the projector maybe better than I see it.

Is 4k worth it?

Are projectors all about the same within their given price range? If so, it is basically buy the most expensive one you can afford?

I'm like you, I have an Optoma GT1080Darbee that works pretty well. My only gripe with it for my garage setup is the lack of a pin-cushion adjustment. I does do a good 1080p and projection quality is excellent regardless of the slight bowing of the image. I have my screen slightly tilted to allow the ball to roll down the impact screen. The Optoma GT shortthrow is designed for strictly vertical screens. Up-close it adds to the peripheral vision so I don't mind the slight bend. If you have to have a short throw 4K I've not seen anything yet, I searched last year for 4K LED projectors my none could deliver either a native 4K pixel density or 3000 lumens LED (or Laser). If you find anything that an average consumer can afford, please repost.
