Floor mounted projector housing

Currently have an Optoma 1080e ceiling mounted but had near fatal swing with a lob wedge and caught the projector. Due to limited space I have to place the ball to the right of the screen which puts the projector directly above and in the danger zone on errant swings. I’m thinking about floor mounting it with an MDF housing but was wondering if anyone has had any issues with the ball coming back off the screen and hitting the front of the projector. Thanks bud, that’s the kind of thing I was after building. I wasn’t sure if the Perspex on the front would cause issues with the projector but looking at that it should be fine. 👍🏻
