  • Dual screens with Windows 10 issue I need help with

I am running an HP Pavilion B&O laptop, An optima 200 projector and a Samsung TV. The laptop only has on HDMI port which I run the projector off. I can get the TV to run on either an adaptor from one of the USB ports or it will connect using WIFI. The issue is it shows the desktop and the top window (ST or whatever program is open) is on the TV but so far left I have to move the window all the way to the right on the laptop to see it at all but then the window is unusable on the laptop. I have tried extending the screens and duplicating them but always end up with this same issue. Does anyone have any advise to get the active window to be where it should be on the TV?

    Thanks

Found the solution, actually someone on the Windows forum gave me the solution I should say. I'm posting it here in case anyone else runs into this. The first issue is hooking up a second monitor to a laptop with one out put. You have two choices. If your tv allows you can connect wirelessly. I didn't want to overload the WIFI signal so opted for choice two in getting a USB to HDMI adapter. Then AFTER you get that up and running and both monitors are on you just hit the Windows key + P and select duplicate. Done deal.
