Installing a ceiling mount projector HELP!

I need some much needed advice on installing my short throw projector BenQ MW632RB. I have just a hair over 10 1/2 ft. ceilings in my shop with a 10x10x10 impact screen/enclosure. Im curious as to how far I should hang the projector back as well as how far i should drop it down from the ceiling. I've read multiple forums as well as other calculating sites but its still very fuzzy on how the measurements should be laid out. It would be greatly appreciated if someone could help out a newbie on a first time build.

If you're not sure of the focus distance I'd,, (probably with a little help) get up on a ladder, turn the thing on and hold it up close to the ceiling and find where it focuses. Also make sure the keystone adjustment and zoom will work correctly for your screen size. The manufacturer will usually give you minimum and maximum distances, check the manual or their website for your model.
Another method, set it on a table or something where it focuses correctly on your screen. Use a piece of string to measure the distance from the lens to the screen, now, keeping the string on the screen swing the other end up to the ceiling and the string end will give you the correct spot to mount the projector. The string keeps the distance the same from table top to ceiling. Good luck.

Follow the link select your projector and select what aspect ratio you want and how big you want the picture to be and this calculator will tell you how far to mount your projector. As for height I would mount the projector so the lens is even with the top of screen. Also get a fully articulating ceiling mount. I am also having a hard time finding your projector online the only benq i find that is close to the model you listed is MW632ST I can't find the RB version.

FWIW - I have 10-1/2' ceiling but projecting onto a screen in an enclosure ~8.5' high and 5' deep with a BenQ ST projector (back ~10' from the screen). I started out dropping the projector down about 2' but later found out it only needed to be dropped about 1' (or a hair less). I wouldn't even need that much drop if I can get the enclosure roof to slope up instead of staying level at the 8.5' height.

So chances are, you probably wont need much drop at all (if any) going from a 10-1/2' ceiling to a 10' high screen.
