  • Choice of projectors

Hi guys, total newbie to protee system which i am installing in my local golf club, i need quality of picture etc to be right for this venture.
i have looked at several projectors and i am struggling to pick one.
i have been offered a panasonic pt-vx 600 xga, 5500 lumens which the guy says will give me a full picture 4x3 from approx 5.5metres from screen, he reckons the brightness is what makes the picture better on sims.
this is not a cheap projector at around £1200 (APPROX $1800).
Would i be better with an HD projector at around same money.
any make, model suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

i also saw a post on the site saying there may be some issues with artificial green turf and filters may be required for the cameras, this may also apply to white drivers?
many thanks in advance for help.

Mine is 17 feet back. I use 4:3 format due to garage space. Size is 10x7 ish feet.

I got the Optoma GT760 3400 lumens off eBay for £356 from the Optoma refurbished store. It's only 720p - however I'll be running it at 4:3 anyway.
It's short throw, so will project my 3m wide x 2.8m high image from about 1.5m back. Saves having my shadow in the image since it's infront of me.
