Need help with screen size and projector

I am going to order a custom size impact screen from Carl's and need some help figuring out what size to get with a projector. The height will be 84 inches from the top of the screen to the floor.

If I went with a true 4:3 aspect ratio, that would mean the screen should be 112 inches wide. Unfortunately, I can't go that wide, i'm limited to 96 inches wide.

So if I get a screen that is 84 x 96, am I correct to assume I should also get a 4:3 projector and my image just won't fill the entire screen because in order to make it the full 96 wide the image will only be 72 tall? Any suggestions?

I had a 4:3 setup as well, and went with a 16:9 1080 projector and just forced the projector into 4:3 mode.

If I do the same, am I going to be stuck with an image that is only 72 tall by 96 wide? Or is there a way to tweak the image so it fills my 84 x 96 screen?

Someone mentioned that you can do custom sizes. I have never tried, but if your graphics card comes with software, i think they did it in there somehow. Something like nvidia custom resolutions

Can anyone recommend some projectors that will work for my setup? I am going to mount it on the ceiling about 8 feet away from my screen.
