Projector advice - last item to purchase!

I had zeroed in on the benq HT1085ST however I am having some concerns now. My screen is only 8 feet high x 10.5 wide. Height restricted where screen is. Will be hitting 8 feet from screen slightly offset about 2 feet where my ceiling height is 10.6 feet.

Projector central for this benq is saying 10 ft away and only 2" vertical offset which would mean the projector is going to be 2 feet behind hitting area somewhat above me hitting but only 8 feet high given low vertical offset. That concerns me.

    Any thoughts appreciated. Thanks.

I’ve got the same setup. The club never goes anywhere near the projector with my swing since the projector is over the ball and I’m trying to hit the ball. I’d recommend temporarily attaching a cardboard box in the area and taking a bunch of swings to see if you’re comfortable with the placement. The only time I could fathom hitting the projector would be with a awkward follow through on a big cut shot or something. Even then you’d have to really try hard in order to hit it. Hope that helps.

10 feet away for a short throw projector seems far to me. My screen is same size as yours and my projector is mounted over head and little under 7 feet away. I use an optoma GT1080Darbee

        Thanks guys, celtics fan too...KEMBA!

Trickle007 Optoma definitely has a better throw distance, but I like the zoom feature of the BenQ and have read good things about lag...seems like Optoma and BenQ are very close though, Optoma being a little more difficult to precisely hang. Hmmmmmmmm should i have bought the Optoma based on where I am going to hang it.
