The specs indicate 3000 lumens, so that could be a reason some do not use it. For a similar price or cheaper they can get a GT1080HDR or Darbee, which have more lumens. Also, Optoma markets this as a projector for conference rooms while the others are marketed for "gaming" which implies faster and crisper graphics. Does not mean they are faster or crisper but if given the choice between a conference room projector and a gaming projector most will chose the gaming projector.

From what I know when they say Conference they know there is more natural light so the projector is made to display better in brighter rooms where gaming and movie projectors are only made for dark rooms. Hell there are $4000-20,000 projectors market as conference and school so you say they are less powerful than a $400 projector marked as Gaming?Originally posted by Stetson View PostThe specs indicate 3000 lumens, so that could be a reason some do not use it. Gaming projectors are not about brightness, but rather lag. Conference room projectors do a very good job of overcoming ambient light to give a picture. Gaming projectors have a higher resolution and smoother image.Originally posted by northshoremb View Post
