  • Going crazy tying to find the perfect projector to floor mount off to the side

I was planning on purchasing one of the new Optima laser projectors that have more adjustment but they are on back order and the dates keep getting pushed back.

I have a net return pro (4:3) I move into the house (lots of ambient light, need higher lumens) and back to the garage in the summer time. So mounting it just on the floor is what I need. I was planning on putting it to the side of the skytrak. I was also looking for a projector I can also use for movies in the basement when not using it in the simulator. Trying to stay under $2500 or so.

I thought about using an ultra short throw projector centered on the floor in front the net and put some sort of protection behind it but I am worried about the balls hitting the net and falling on the projector.

Another solution would be a top mount that can attach to the net return pro. The one they sell only fits the sim series. This would give me many more options I think.

    Interesting idea!
Share if you find something that works. I have a ceiling mounted projector, which works although my head's shadow just touches the bottom of the projected image, (no big deal).
But you might be on to something with a projector, floor mounted or even waist high mounted off to the side. Easier to access, and align, easier to get the distance correct, the only issue might be finding one with enough horizontal keystone correction.
Probably wouldn't work very well with a right hand/left hand golfer setup, tons of shadows from either one side or the other.
