  • New BenQ TH685 - good value?

Quarantine has me finally setting up my movable garage sim and I came across this new BenQ on ProjectorCentral that apparently just came out. No reviews on Amazon or PC yet. Specs look pretty good though for under $800 - 3500 lumens and 1.3x zoom . My screen is going to force me to 4:3 so that's my only hesitation right now. Has anyone evaluated this one yet?

Did you end up getting this projector? I just ordered the TH585 to replace a cheap one I was using. Reviews appear to be very good and works for my setup.

Wow does this make the TH671ST not worth buying? This has higher lumens and much lower input lag....

It's not short throw like the TH671ST so probably not.

There is also the Benq TH585 which is $599 and is a 1080P projector!

I did end up picking this one up. It's mounted approx 11' from my screen which is 9' wide so ST wasn't a necessity. No complaints so far with it. Plenty bright enough to handle when all the lights are on in the garage.
