Projector for a bright sunroom

I spent hours and hours looking at all sorts of options for my use case. Just wanted to share my thoughts on the Epson Pro EX 9220. I needed something portable that had horizontal keystone and would be bright enough to use in a very bright sunroom. For the money I couldn't beat the Epson and it fills my needs. I've attached some photos of my setup. Still waiting for my Mevo+ and EVA puzzle flooring to arrive, but here are some pics with it in full daylight on my PC and Ipad mini.

Projector is about 14' from the screen and it's projecting an image of roughly 8' wide by 5' tall on the impact screen.

This was in full daylight and there are windows and a clear door behind the impact screen, so it's a super bright room and the projector still looks good. Once the sun sets the projected image is awesome and super bright. Certainly fits my needs for golf simulation even in a super bright room.

Have you tried to put a dark curtain or something up to cover the glass on the door behind your screen? This might help cancel out some of the light that is washing out the image on that part of the screen. Looks like a good space you have there!

This was my first thought too. No need to wait for the sun to go down. Hang some blackout curtains and you can get a nice bright image anytime of day. And of course you can open them right up when you want to use the room as an actual sun room.

Yes, I have some leftover commando cloth and will create a quick blackout curtain for the back so all of the light bleeding in does not cause an issue. I still think it's quite usable even when the sun is killing the room with light. Bright sunrooms are not ideal for projection but I'm pretty pleased with how powerful the unit is. I'll take some pictures of it when the sun is down and post later on. Super happy with the projector though and I know a lot of guys on here have asked about setting a projector off to the side. This projector does a great job of it and it's easy to adjust the image to make it look perfect.

I know I looked on the forums here for horizontal keystone and offset projection etc etc. I didn't see any posts for this particular projector on here, but my experience with it so far has been great. It's 16:10 aspect ratio and native HD, so it ticked all the boxes I was looking for. I got the "Amazon Renewed" version for $599 and I think it is a good value for that price. Brighter than the home cinema series projectors which is what I needed for my environment.

I think it would be a great projector! I had considered its predecessor the 9210. I think that $599 is a great price as well!

Any issues with your shadow being on the screen?

No issues with shadow at all. The horizontal keystone works great on it. Simple to put up and take down. It has a small 2w speaker that is sufficient for golf simulation, but you can also purchase an hdmi audio extractor and send the audio to whatever device you would like. Before I bought the projector I purchased this:

I was planning on splitting out the audio and going to a home theater type system for audio when we wanted to watch movies on it, but haven't really set all of that equipment up as of yet.
