Projector for 13’x10’ screen

Hey folks,

Being new to the simulator world, it’s pretty clear I spend a lot of time reading. After consulting you folks and several companies, it seems to maximize my wall space I would go with a screen that is 13’ wide and 10’ tall (4:3).

In reading about projectors for such a screen, it sounds like my best bet is to buy a 16:9 (1080p) projector and force it into 4:3?

Any recommendations on projectors for this type of setup?

Throw distance would be in the realm of 8-9 feet.
Budget is up to $800.

Plenty of good options. On projector central, select "find a projector" and then fill in some of the search filters. When you get the list, just copy and paste the model name into a google shopping search and see what's out there. There's a lot of used projectors on ebay if you want to save a little money and also plenty of places that sell them brand new if you want to go that route.
