Need help on projector placement and type

Hi everyone,

I know it's probably annoying answering the same questions over and over but I'm really not sure what to do. I have built my sim enclosure around the space I had available which means I don't have a very wide screen. Please see the linked image. It is 8' wide and 8' 10" tall. I have 10' ceilings, the golfer is 10' from the screen and the back wall is 18' from the screen. Budget is <$1k. I have a strong PC with GeForce GTX 1080ti but with (presumably) a 4:3 aspect ratio, I dunno if it's going to matter because I'll probably need XGA? Please, any thoughts to get me going in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

There are a ton of posts for projectors and for your build you might look at the Optoma EH200ST. You can also use the Projector Calculator to help with your search. You can type in any make and then search through the models to find one that fits your specs.

It looks like the throw distance would be only 5' 4" with that Optoma and I am hitting from 10' away. I'm a little worried about the projector getting hit.

I found this model on Projector Central for placing it 12 ft from the 96" wide screen. It would have to be offset slightly so I found a model with horizontal keystoning. I will take a look at the EH200ST. Thanks for your reply.
