  • Optoma GT1090HDR = HZ40ST?

The GT1090HDR seems to be a popular choice for sims on this forum, but Optoma seem to have a policy of changing the names (and specs?) for the European versions of their projectors. Scouring the optoma.co.uk website I have found the HZ40ST https://www.optoma.co.uk/product-det...specifications This seems to be a pretty close match to the GT1090HDR. Has anyone seen a HZ40ST, or better yet bought one?

I just had the confirmation (from Optoma France) that the HZ40ST is the European version of the 1090HDR.

I struggled to find the HZ40ST in the UK when I was looking a few months ago, not sure if it was even released back then. Ended up going for the HD29HST which does show up on my laptop as having a GT1090HDR connected. I know it's a different light source but the specs looked vaguely similar to the HZ40ST.
Moving from a GT1080 the difference was massive, never managed to get a good picture with the GT1080 not sure if it was faulty but I was never happy with it. I was shocked at the difference in picture quality straight out of the box.

Just projectors have it listed at least, but as yet out if stock and no price. As for HD29HST, I was guessing it was equivalent of GT1080HDR, but with a brighter lamp.
