  • $199 1080p HD Projector on Groupon

$200 for an HD projector seems ridiculous but I thought I'd post it's specs and see what spears you guys have to throw against it. Would it work for a 14' wide 9' tall screen in a dark setting? My desired throw distance is 10' (directly over the tee). Let me know what you think. FAVI Home-Theater LED 1,000-Lumen Projector

This projector can show videos, photo slideshows, and presentations to display areas of 50”, 200”, or anywhere in between. It hooks up to cable boxes, DVD players, and other media players with support for 1080p full HD, so it’s ideal for home theaters. The ultra-bright LED bulb makes the picture bright and clear. The lamp life is 30,000 hours, which is about 30 years of use, so you won’t have to ask for a new lamp for any upcoming birthdays.

Is it possible to set up the GC2 so lefties and righties can hit alternating shots without moving any equipment? Being a lefty and everybody else I know a righty I can see moving that sensor back and forth getting old quick.

Bottom line I want a sim that can be played on either side of the ball with no hardware movements. With that in mind what systems meet this requirement and how do you rank them?

That narrows the field. Flightscope (depending on how much room you have in length), Protee sensor pad, P3Pro, Optishot. Listed in order of accuracy compared to real golf. If you are going to dig out your basement I would stick with Flightscope or Protee. Before you go down the Flightscope road PM Goatbarn for his advice on how much distance you need. Protee would be a safe bet.

Sounds like protee would be a good choice here. I don't recall seeing how deep your room dimension would be. That would be a limiting factor for a flightscope.
