  • Broke the bank - BenQ LK953ST

Pulled the trigger on this. Excited/nervous.

For 10 years my wife has said I never spend money on myself. I'm definitely making up for lost time

Wow! Please post a follow up once you get it up and running. Are you replacing an existing projector or is this a new build?

New build. Was going to go with the 1090 originally, but I invested in the Nvidia 3080, and then thought what's the point if the projector isn't 4k. Classic sunk cost fallacy.

Congrats, looks like a great projector.

Congrats on actually getting a 3080. I more likely get a hole in one versus 3080 before the end of the year.

Well it technically hasn’t arrived yet. The morning of I was jumping across all the sites like everyone else, and I scrolled to the bottom of one and they had a full computer build which included the card, and miraculously wasn’t sold out. It’s supposed to arrive 11/15 or so, but I won’t believe it till I see it

Who did you order your PC from? I ordered my new gaming computer through Origin PCs. Was going to get an NZXT, but the next day the 3080s were sold out. My Origin is to be shipped in Nov with a 3080 and it is the last part they are waiting on before completing the build. Can't wait to get it!

        Here are a few specs: Intel Core i9 10900K 10-Core 3.7GHz (5.3GHz TurboBoost), 32GB CORSAIR DOMINATOR PLATINUM - WHITE 3200MHz RGB (2x16GB) , NVIDIA 10GB GeForce RTX 3080, and ASUS ROG STRIX Z490-I Gaming

This BenQ looks like it should be very nice. I ended up purchasing the Optoma ZU606TST-W. Jury is still out on this projector until I get the gaming machine. For now, I have to run off a Dell G7 gaming laptop.
