Hi, I’m looking at using a viewsonic PS 501x for my sim room. My basement room measurements are 15 ft wide by 16 ft long with a 9’4” ceiling height where I will be swinging. My actual ceiling height is 8’8” but when I finished my basement I modified a floor joist to give me 9’4” which limits me with a setup 7 ft from screen. This projector is a short throw and will be above my head at 6’4” from screen. I have not seen anyone on this forum recommend this projector and was wondering if there is anyone who uses this projector?

I’ve been setting up my sim room and was initially looking at the same projector, but reading up on here And starting to understand resolution and aspect ratio, what I wanted was full HD 1920x1080. The ps501 is only 1024x768 so not nearly as many pixels. At least that’s my understanding. My choices were then narrowed to the optima 1080 or the BenQ TH671ST. I ended up going with the BenQ, and it has an awesome picture.
