Hey Guys,
I have a View Sonic PS501x projector. My projectors lamp (original lamp) wont come on. I assume it just needs to be replaced, which isn't a problem. But I feel like it burnt out rather quickly. I just did some research and came up with approximately 40 hours of usage. I have had the projector since September of last year. I hope that is not typical for this projector. I do not want to spend $150 every 6 months for a lamp. I would rather upgrade my projector to a better one that gets more lamp hours. Has anyone else experienced this with their projector?
The projector's power light comes on and stays a steady blue for about 2 - 3 minutes and then a red lamp light, steady, comes on for about 30 seconds, then goes off and the blue power light then flashes twice and shuts down automatically. I plan to contact the manufacture on Monday but curious as to what others think.
