AV help Coax to HDMI?

My Mevo+ and BenQ 671ST are arriving soon. The room where they are going is finished, and former owners (15+ years ago) must have had a ceiling mount projector as there is coaxial cable and 120V power at the ceiling. There are 3 coaxial cables at the projector site in the ceiling.....2 female and 1 male. The other end of the coax is a nook in the room where it makes sense to put my PC.

Should I be pulling this old Coaxial out and replacing with HDMI cable? I'm not sure how they used the 3 cables.....maybe one sound and one video......or ?

Those could have actually been RGB cables which was the 'old school' way of getting a better picture - red, green & blue. Since then DVI was released, then more recently HDMI. This is just a guess - they would normally be color coded. And/or they could have been audio cables. You will have to remove those and use HDMI, or a HDBaseT with ethernet (I have no experience with personally but other forum users use HDBaseT - looks very cool actually). Note: I also have the 671ST BenQ and it is really good for the money!

Thanks Carl, that’s very helpful! The HDBaseT is interesting, and perhaps the future, but without a corresponding input on the BenQ it sounds like HDMI is the practical choice.
