Projector Placement

Hello, need some help with placement and what is the best way to size this.

Projector: BenQ TH671ST


I initially had the projector mounted on the floor with the ultimate goal of mounting it and cleaning up the floor appearance. From the middle of the mat it's about 10-11 feet to the screen and the projector is 6-7 feet back from there. I was hoping I'd be able to just narrow the beam to cover the screen since it's sitting 8+ft up.

Do I just need to move the projector forward and attach it to another joist closer to the screen? The current output is just too wide for the screen and space I have available.

Any thoughts or help is much appreciated

Hold the projector up (use a step ladder if needed) and move it closer until it fits better. Moving it closer makes the image smaller. Moving it further back makes the image bigger.

Better yet, use projector central to see exactly where you need to mount it for your given screen size.

Thanks - my concern now is moving it forward puts it in the path of a club follow through

Hi, your room size snd shape looks very similar to what I am working with. Interested to see how you ended up mounting your projector and what size screen did you go with?
