Another ask for help with Projector please

Hey guys, i am seriously getting a headache trying to figure out projectors even with the help of projector central. I am building a 10x10x10 net and I want a floor mount projector. It seems i can have the projector anywhere from 2 feet to 9 or 10 feet from the screen. I will be hitting just outside 10 feet. I just want the best picture possible and good brightness.

Or would something like the Optoma gt1080hdr gaming projector give me more options?

When mounted on the floor, vertical offset represents the amount of space between the lens and the bottom edge of the image.

Let's say your screen is 10 feet wide and 10 feet tall. If you projected in 4:3, your image would be 90 inches tall (120 inches wide x 90 inches tall = 4:3).

You can start the image at the bottom of the screen and have it extend 90 inches up (leaving 30 inches of blank space at the top). Or you can start the image at the top of the screen and have it extend 90 inches down (leaving 30 inches of blank screen at the bottom). Or you can do anything in between such as 15 inches of blank screen on both top and bottom and fill up the middle 90 inches with your image.

(You can create a custom resolution to fill out that blank space but that's a whole other conversation. Don't worry about that for the sake of just understanding vertical offset).

So let's say your projector has a vertical offset of 10 inches at the distance you need to mount it at for your screen size. The lens might be a couple inches off the floor and then the image will start 10 inches above that. So the bottom edge of your image would be about 12 inches high off the ground. The top edge of the image would be about 102 inches high off the ground (the image itself is 90 inches from top to bottom).

        Hope that makes sense.

I had a floor mounted projector for a few months. And decided to ceiling mount. Floor mount just got in the way. Anyway when I had it on the floor, the back legs had to be elevated a bit, and then had to keystone adjust the image. I think it had an offset of -12 or something like that
