    Starting the build process.

After reading posts from many other people, I have a few questions.
Room size 27 feet wide x 25 feet deep x 10 feet tall.
Screen size, thinking about a Sawdust mesh that is 15’ x 8’-5”. (16:9)
    Projector, Optoma GT 1090HDR.
    Mevo plus.

Some people have said the Optoma have issues with focus. Hopefully most that have this projector haven’t had troubles. Will a screen size that I would like have, be too big for the resolution? Would I be better off going with a smaller screen? Would like to use as a movie theatre as well as a simulator.
There are lots of decisions to be made.

I built my own simulator and learned things along the way and may have designed things differently now. I use my simulator room as a movie room as well. The problem with golf impact screens is that they don't reproduce the best images. The aren't terrible but the screen is made a bit different. A HD projector screen is lighter and much more smooth. There are options to get around this. You could hang the movie screen and put a movable net in front of it that can be moved for movies or buy a second screen that you can use just for movies in front of the impact screen. Now all that being said at the moment I have only the impact screen and watch movies on it and it looks pretty good. I watch sports on it as well and just having such a big screen I enjoy it and can look past not having the best picture. I have the Optoma HDR 1080. It has a manual focus on it and I wish it had auto focus of some kind. I adjust it a bit as needed. I am never sure if the image is as clear as it could be though? I am hoping someone will release a 4k short projector that can replace my Optoma. I think stepping up to 4k would make TGC and movies a lot better. Again the weak point would be the screen. You have a really big space and I think you should stay with those screen dimensions. That is pretty close to what I have but my room is only about 17' wide so the screen takes up that whole wall
