  • 16:10 help

I’m setting up Uneekor EYEXO and plan for the hitter to be at about 10ft from screen. Screen will be 16’ x 10’. The total length of the room will be 24ft. Will have swing optix. Looking for help to find a projector and location that will fit this space while not allowing flicker or shadow. Any help would be appreciated. TIA

I assume you are doing a ceiling mount projector? you need to determine the throw distance of the projector. Ideally you want the projector above the ball or behind the ball a few feet.

    What is your ceiling hieght?

we use a benq th671, which would mount in the 11-13 ft from screen range

    see link

Calculate the perfect throw distance and screen size for your BenQ TH671ST projector with the ProjectorCentral Projection Calculator Pro.

Chip I understand the DLP projectors make the swing optix system flicker? As stated above, I’m looking for no flicker which from what I understand means laser not DLP. My ceiling height is going to be 10 or 11 feet. Trying to determine what is the best ceiling height once I find the right projector. Looking for throw distance of .63 - .8

mounting on ceiling behind ball slightly should avoid the shadow. I purchased the 5050ub which has image shift/zoom so you can mount to the side of room to avoid shadows without distortion of image. Image is great. Using the projector central website listed above will tell you minimum throw distance needed for projectors of interest.

Hey Wormburner. What size is your screen? I have an existing Epson 5050UB I used for my previous home theatre. Throw distance seems to be too far for simulator use if projecting anything over 120” diagonal. Thoughts?

LCHammer sorry for late response. I havnt been on here in a while. I have a 10 by 9 screen and use the 4:3 aspect ratio. I mounted my projector 21 feet back from screen.
Working...
