Analysis Paralysis - affordable projector

Hi, I recently built my golf simulator with the Skytrak system and the wife isn't too happy on how much time effort and money I put into it. Everything is complete except for a projector as i currently just hit into my impact screen and then look over at a computer screen. Because the wife would frown upon me going out and spending another $1000 on a projector, i am looking for something effective but affordable and am coming across WAYYYYY too many projectors around the $400 range that could or could not work for my situation.
I am looking for any advice/suggestions on a projector that can fit my needs.

Set up -
Garage simulator with daylight windows that can be coverred if needed.
Hitting 11' from the impact screen
Ceiling is 9'5"
Impact screen is 9x12
Would prefer to mount projector to ceiling.

I would look at a used Optoma GT1080 DARBEE as a possible solution. Check ebay, could probably find one right around that $400 mark I would think. This isnt the newest model, but this line has been a popular choice in the golf sim world due to its short throw ratio.
