I’ just got the green light to build my garage in to a sim room. Ive been researching for a while, but now making purchases. I have a microbay 9x12, ceilings are 11ft. How far back should I stand and where do I mount projector and what projector is best for my set up? I’ll be using Skytrak and TGC. Thanks so much!

I think the projector is the most complicated part of any sim build. Here's what I recommend...
Step 1 -- Figure out your screen dimensions.
Step 2 -- Figure out where you can put your projector (or a range if you have space available).
Step 3 -- Figure out which projectors can solve that equation.
Step 4 -- Figure out which of those projectors you're willing to buy for the best features versus cost.
As the last person said, Projector Central is the best place for Step 3. I've found their calculations are fairly accurate though not necessarily exact.
As for where you stand, if able, I'd shoot for 9-12' from the screen. That gives enough room for the ball to decelerate and not rip up the screen too quickly.Comment
