HI,
After months of planning, my garage is finally finished and all items purchased for the golf simulator are in. I have zero knowledge of anything related to using or setting up a projector so I am looking to get confirmation that I'm going to be mounting this in the correct spot. I went with a Bushnell Launch Pro, HP Omen 30L with an Nvidia RTX 3080, Carl's DIY Enclosure (12' X 9' X 5'), Fiberbuilt PlayerPreferred (8'X4') mat, 1" gym flooring with Money Putt Turf.
For the projector, I have the BenQ TH671ST HD short throw with the Crimson AV JR3 Universal Projector Ceiling mount and the Crimson AV EA-Series Adjustable extension column.
I plan on hitting form 10' from the impact screen right and it will be centered. As for the placement of the projector, I'm looking to mount it right above the hitting area so that it's centered on the screen and the top of the projector lens needs to be slightly lower than the top of the enclosure? For the distance to the screen, using projectorcentral.com, I'm getting a throw distance of 12'1". Is that correct?
Thank you for the help
