I'm just wondering if I could get away with a long throw projector for my space without giving up too much quality. As you can see my setup is going to cal for a mounter ceiling projector at least 10 feet from the hitting screen. The difference in price in the models I'm looking at is $200 . Any disadvantage if I go with the cheaper long throw model? Thanks.

Have you used this online tool?: https://www.projectorcentral.com/Ben...r-pro.htm#calc
If you are standing 100" from the screen, and the projector is above & 113" behind you, there will be some shadowing on the screen, depending on the height of the hitter. Assuming your screen is 120" wide by 105" tall, you'll be able to fill the width but leave some gaps top & bottom, running a 4:3 resolution.
