    Projector height question

Hoping someone can help with this question.
I’m planning out an upcoming sim build and am wondering if I’m reading this info correctly (attached image). Is this saying that the projector should be 13.16 feet off the floor? I’m planning on a 9x14 screen and LU935ST projector.

Perhaps a "short throw" projector is not the answer? I plugged your dimensions in for my projector Optoma GT1090 HDR and get similar results. It is a large image you are trying to project.

I think the 53" reference is telling you that it's mounted 53" below the top of the screen, so if the screen is 105" tall it would be 52" off of the floor. Kind of an odd positioning. Does the projector not have "vertical offset" capability?

When you click the info button is gives some more explanation…doesn’t really match the picture. I just don’t think I’ve ever noticed any other projectors mounted that high before. I think I can vault the ceiling there but I don’t think even with that I could get to 13 feet.

I agree. I really think it is because the image is very wide. Where are you getting the screen? Maybe they can make some projector suggestions. Or perhaps you could make it 12'0 wide. Then you can use 4:3 aspect ratio, cover the whole screen and mount it about 8'0 from the screen and about 10'4 high.
      Working...
