    Hi Everyone,

I coach a Women’s golf program and we are expanding our indoor space.

    Simulator Home
We currently have a GC3 running through a TV.

I am getting the pro enclosures from carls golf.
We ordered a Optima GT1080HDRX short throw gaming projector for it.

Simulator 2 will be a Trackman 4 indoor/outdoor with a pro enclosure from carls golf. They are recommending a
Epson PowerLite L630/L635SU which is a lot more $.

Any massive differences in these 2 projectors?

    Thank you for any advice!

Optoma is halide lamp, Epson is laser. Look at hours of lamp life expectancy.

Optoma fewer lumens, but greater image clarity if you have a graphics card/PC that can run at high resolutions.

Could they be suggesting the Epson unit because you might be using it in an area with more ambient light in a indoor/outdoor setting?

The Optima GT1080HDRX is a short-throw gaming projector that delivers a good image at a distance. It supports high resolution and high brightness. The Optima is a more affordable alternative but may have fewer features than the Epson. The Epson PowerLite L630/L635SU is a professional projector with high brightness and resolution, but it can be more expensive. Epson is known for its high image quality, long lamp life and additional features that can be useful for professional use. I've talked about the features and specs of projectors, so I have experience.

I would also add that the Optoma is not a 4K projector and the GC3 with Foresight FSX Play supports 4K graphics. I'm selling my Optoma to get the BenQ 700Sti which is a 4K and can be purchased for $1500 right now
