Anybody got this projector...thoughts...reviews?...thinking about buy one to use on my 9x12 screen

This is very helpful thank you! Think I’ll have to play around with it when I get the enclosure. I’m okay mounting at 12 feet. But I’ll probably have the hitting position around 8-9 feet so will have to mount the projector a little higher so no one is swinging into it.

Really interested to hear how this is going..

I'm currently using a Panasonic as well, the PT-ZV580, and wondering whether to upgrade to this also.

I've got my projector currently around 12.5 feet back from my screen, so I'm assuming that would be ok... I don't have option to take it back any further...

One thing I was interested in... do you need to be running full graphics to really get the benefit, or will it be a noticeable difference in any setting? My PC runs just fine in the High graphic setting in FSX Play but gets a little jittery in Ultra...

Lastly, there's a huge price jump up to the LK954ST.... I'd be interestd if anyone has done hte comparison and whether it's worth the extra?!

Ultra vs High vs Med is an interesting debate. It varies from person to person and is highly dependent on other factors (projector, screen, lighting etc.). It really all comes down to what is important to you and what you can (or want) to afford.

Many are quite happy with High graphics (and even lower). And I would take that small reduction over playing with jitter or stuttering all day long. There is a difference between high and ultra, just like there is a difference between 1080P and 4K. Only you can say if it matters to you.

just swap back and forth between high and ultra on water/tree/highly textured scenes and see if you can see a big enough difference to justify the upgrade. Many do not.

I'm happy with running the Graphics on high to be honest.. it's cost quite a lot in upgrades to get to that point. To be able to Ultra seems like it must need to be so high-specced (ie expensive) I just dont think it would make sense unless it was a full on gaming PC... and literally the only use mine gets is as a golf sim..

I guess my question was more how much difference I would see with the 4K projector compared to the Panasonic at that level, or whether the 4K projector would only really come into its own if running the Ultra graphics..

I'm going to speak to Benq and see what the returns policy is.. maybe I can get one and give it a trial run before deciding...
