1080p vs 1080p w/4k input vs 4k

Ok I found 2 Benq 1080p short throw projectors for decent price the 971ST and the 2150ST and I'm doing 4:3 Ratio. Since my Computer can run 4K Ultra no issues and both those projectors have ability to do 1080P native resolution would you really notice that much detail change between a high 1080P vs a 1080P that accepts 4k input even though it can only output 1080p?

Also when it's broadcast on a golf hitting screen seeing as a screen is nowhere as clear as a painted wall or high end screen made just for Home theater can you notice any real difference between 1080p, 1080p with 4k input or actual 4k resolution?

I just don't want to spend extra $400+ on a true 4k or upgrade to a 1080p that recognizes 4k input if on a lower end hitting screen you can't see much difference. I know on a premium screen you most definitely would but right now have a base screen.

Or would it be better visually to have a 1080p projector and get a premium screen vs a 4k projector and a low end screen?

Ya, the screens we use for hitting greatly diffuses the image clarity, and feel my Optoma UHD35STX 4K projector is wasted for golf use. I come from a home theatre background, always having had pricey JVC projectors on a quality screen, shooting 11' wide. I've had my Sim for a year now, with the Optoma UHD35STX, which works well on my 10' wide 16:9 screen, but if I had to again today, I'd probably looking for a 1080P laser projector with even more lumens than my Optoma.

I have an RTX 4080 GPU and switching it from 1080P to 4K doesn't yield much improvement as the graphics are never life-like anyway. I've only been running FSX Play but will eventually subscribe to GS Pro.

Any models you would specifically look at if you wanted a high lumen 1080p projector?
