  • TK700sti Placement- Straight On vs Offset

Good morning. I am wrapping up my sim build. My viewable screen size is 96"x171". The launch monitor is a Uneekor Eye XO. Planning on 10' from tee to impact screen. The Uneekor is 3.5' in front of the tee. Projector placement software recommends 12.5' with ability to move back a few feet.

My questions... If I mount the TK700sti behind the hitting area 2.5' will this interfere with the swing? The Uneekor will be mounted 10' above the hitting area. The TK700sti will be mounted 9' above (and behind). Would it be better to offset the TK700sti (screen left)? The enclosure is 15' wide with the hitting mat centered.

I appreciate the insight and suggestions.

You should be fine. Projector behind hitting area will not interfere with swing, only need to worry (generally) about this if your projector is offset (i.e. not centered).

If it is far enough back, you may encounter shadowing but at 2.5 feet back and 9' high you should be fine. You can draw it out if you are concerned drawing to scale and draw a line from the lens position to the bottom of your screen. Where this line crosses your hitting position will be the max height of a golfer to not cast a shadow. There are on-line tools which can do this for you if you search a bit.

    Good Luck!
