Upgrade to Benq AK700ST from Optoma 1080GT?

Basically just wondering if its worth the upgrade? The Optoma is ok but blurry at the edges. The AK700ST is only slightly higher lumens and is still a bulb but its 4k. On the reviews i saw the edges look clear. Do you guys think this will be a significant upgrade or its really worth spending the extra $3k to go to the Benq lk936? I dont like that the 936 has been around a few years already and i presume will be superseded as soon as i buy one.

My ambient light can be controlled but normally like some when entertaining. Screen size is big at 15'x8.5'.

Here’s a useful opinion/review of projectors from last year, that has several of the potentials you mention, and does some practical comparisons of useful lumens, color, ease of setup, etc. It helped me to decide on the Benq710sti, which works well in my sim application.

I am pretty sure the AK700ST is a laser projector not a bulb projector. I believe it is rated for 20,000 hours.
