Low cost Projectors in the UK

Can anyone recommend a low cost projector in the UK.

i am just building my set up from scratch and would love an all singing and dancing Benq 1080st but the budget for now won't stretch. Are there any low cost or refurbished models anyone has used that are a good starter for now?

It all boils down to what you class as being cheap?
i got a Benq TH682ST for about £645, which seemed to be a good price for a mid level projector.
A high quality projector can cost thousands, and a 4K can be about £15k.
Obviously you can get non branded things on eBay from China that'll cost you less than £100, but the resolutions are pretty poor.
As with most things in life, quality comes at a price!

Can somebody please advise me on best projector set up.
I have about 4.5m to set projector back so I know I don't need short throw.
I am getting Foresight FSX software but only will be able to have the image on a 10ft wide by 8.5 ft screen. I want the best resolution I can get. I don't mind spending the money if I can get an hd picture but I am not sure I can.
            Anybody?

Wouldn't you want a short throw so you don't cast a shadow on the screen?

Where would you put a short throw, so you don't hit it with a club or ball.

my projector is mounted about 4 feet in front of my hitting area with a wooden board covering the bottom. i've never come close to hitting it with a club. you'd have to have a crazy steep swing plane to do that. however, the other day i did graze it with a ball when trying to flop out of a greenside bunker. the launch angle on that shot was in the 60's. the chances of me ever doing that again are slim to none. also i didn't make it out of the bunker.

My screen is almost the same size as yours, and my room is 5m x 5m square... which means I'd got about 4.5m I could put my projector back.
Mine is short throw is about 9ft from my screen, and is almost directly above my head. There is no danger of hitting a projector that's directly above your head... either with the club or the ball!!

Sadly it's not going to be me using it most of the time, I will be coaching with it and allowing others to play courses, so I want it well out the way 😅
