    Did I mess up?

So.. got all my goodies in and setup my sim over Thanksgiving yesterday. Garage has 10.5 foot ceilings. I have a 10x10 impact screen and am trying to keep my entire footprint on the floor between 12x10 and 12x12 (running turf about a foot past ends of screen on each side). I'm standing about 8 feet out from screen currently when I hit. I purchased everything from Allsportsystems and they suggested the Optoma 305ST.

I'm currently using an iPad air with a lightning to HDMI adapter for Skytrak software and WGT until I can save up for a gaming laptop and TGC which I would guess will be a year down the road from now. When I run it at 4:3 my picture is stretched and looks awful... also the top of the display that should be showing from the game is cut off despite having another 1 feet of space on my impact screen (notice WGT title in top left is not fully visible)

If I put it in 16:9 I have perfect width and am missing about 3 feet top to bottom but it's appropriate size in terms of no stretch and displays everything .... it's as if 16:9 is actually 4:3.... weird huh??

Lastly if I do native it looks like it would be 16:9 as I'm missing tons of display left to right...

So.... ipad supposedly runs in 4:3 yet by choosing that with projector it's crap... then, choosing 16:9 it's as if it's 4:3 and choosing native is as if it's 16:9... does this make any sense ????

Lastly- this isn't an HD projector but I was told my Allsportsystems this was a solid setup- I feel it's quite pixalized and I'll be published visually for that down the road when I use TGC software... what would you do? Swap to an HD projector or...?

If you can assist with my mess that would be awesome!

PS this is the most fun I've ever had - played over 4 hours of WGT yesterday- if only you could play multiplayer as we had to take turns hole by hole.. still a blast !!!

i know on the images my necks got a kink now, haha I would get credit back on the projector if they will bite if its not to your expectation or have them tell you the price of the projector so you can decide on money back or they can credit you back and upgrade to what you want for your system, I never got involved with a turn key system as we discussed in the PM as I feel its a little high in price and searching for the best deal works to your advantage if you take your time on the build image looks ok from my house though. did you try and push this projector through your laptop at all.

I haven't- I think I'll try that next first to see if it's an iPad issue or a projector issue good call!

thats good then they will understand if you want to upgrade and should work with you getting a projector that you want take a quick look at the forum on the projectors used for ST

            Ben Q 1085 popular
I am sure there are others but a lot of guys swear by these I have different optoma then most as i do not use a ST as of the protee system did not want conflict
